For the fine-art photographer— Learn everything you need to know to make the finest digital prints from your digital captures, transparencies or negatives. In their hands-on, digital printing workshop, two of the masters, Bill Atkinson and Charles Cramer, cover subjects including equipment selection, workflow, color management, scanning and developing raw captures, software for fine-tuning images, preparing files for a digital printer, and more. During the 2-1/2 day workshop, students will be guided through the process, and will have an opportunity to fine-tune and print their own images. Each student will take home LightJet proofs and prints, and the Photoshop action scripts used to streamline the process.

This workshop is ideal for exposing fine-art photographers to state-of-the-art digital techniques. Subjects covered in detail include:

There will also be critiques of prints and images, so students are encouraged to bring previous work to share with the group. Anyone who enrolls needs to have a working knowledge of Photoshop.
